This is the area we had cleared for the home site. The shot is looking toward the driveway from our "Mulch Mountain", don't worry, I'll get to that in a moment.
This is a shot from the driveway looking back at the origin of the last picture. You can see the "Mulch Mountain" to the right.
I couldn't resist, here is my son Ryder on top of the "Mulch Mountain". We had the seller of the property clear our home site, and he was kind enough to mulch all of the trees that were removed. Of course, that kindness cost extra! The pile of mulch was about 25 feet high, and of course, they put it in the wrong place, that was where my workshop was supposed to go! This should have been an omen for things to come.
This picture is a shot from further down our driveway. This was late in the year and the tree were starting to thin out. It is really nice in the spring, summer and early fall, there is a very nice canopy that covers the driveway.
That is about it for now, in the next post, I will go over the beginning stages of building the house.
Thanks everybody!
