Welcome

Welcome to the Ethereal Woodshop, in this blog, I hope to chronicle the difficult journey my family has already started to build a modern farmhouse in the country. We have already started this journey, but we still have a long way to go. Basically, we picked the plans, bought some land and had the shell of the house built. From there, we took over and put in a lot of sweat equity in order to keep the costs down, and frankly, we wanted to make sure it was done right.

We did just enough work to the house to be able to move into it, and then proceeded to fix up our old house in Chesapeake, Va so we could sell it. We managed to sell the old house, and now it is time (After a short hiatus) to start work on our new house and get it finished the way we want it.

I will be finishing up trim, building cabinets and built ins, wainscoting and architectural elements. So please sit down with a cup of coffee (Or any of your favorite beverages) and join us on our journey to finish this new house and maybe a few rants and raves along the way.

Thanks everyone, I hope you enjoy our blog.
